I went to the Silk Market today with some friends. It was pretty similar to Yaxiu except it was a little bit nicer. It’s fun to look at all the stuff and I can’t believe so much stuff fits into one building! I bought a couple of things, but I’m trying not to buy a lot while I’m here.

It’s been raining a lot here and today the air was finally clear. The sky is still grey, but there was not smog in front of the buildings when I looked out the window this morning. Even though it was pouring rain I was so excited to be able to see all the buildings around us! I can’t believe I’m already so used to the smog that it was a surprise to see it clear up. Earlier Kelley came inside and told a few of us in the program that she saw a sunset! Which was really exciting because we haven’t really been seeing the sun. It’s supposed to be sunny this week. I think all the rain and fog will drop some of the particles in the air to the ground and then maybe we’ll be able to see the sun!
